India-Myanmar Centre for Enhancement of Information Technology Skills (IMCEITS)

IMCEITS is located at Information and Communication Technology Development Research Center, Yangon, Myanmar. It was established on 16th October, 2008 as a joint effort between Government of India and Government of Myanmar to technologically empower by means of IT education. The centre was setup with a vision to produce IT manpower ready to take on challenges of ever changing demands of IT industries.
Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) which is an R & D organization of Ministry of Communication & IT, India has provided technical assistance for setting up the centre, course design & planning of course delivery. Participants included regular Graduate/Post-Graduate students aspiring to join IT industry as well as Government staffs of various departments from different Ministries. Participants passed out from the centre have been well received by IT industry.

Campus Facilities

IMCEITS has a dedicated Online Data Centre with 8 High end servers. It includes server for Database (Oracle and SQL server), server for Telemedicine solution and Moodle server for automating process of education.
It has 185 computers with Internet facility for each participant in the training program.
Library at the centre has over 7000 books relating to advanced Information Technology.
IMCEITS is a fully air-conditioned facility with 4 computing labs, 2 Class rooms and Library with reading room facility.
Student can access training materials, lecture slides, lab assignments and upload teacher’s review on server. All the exams are conducted through this server which helps for quick result processing.

Why Study Here?

The course curriculum enables students to learn the technologies gradually from basics to the advanced.
During the course, students attend the regular theory classes for 3 hours and lab practice & assignments for another 3 hours every day.
For accessing the students’ understanding of the lessons taught, they are given the online surprise test which enables them to be prepared for final exam.
