Initiative of Network Security Capacity Building for Advancing e-Government Services in Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam

As Myanmar is focusing on e- Government master plan, Information and Communication Technology Research Center (ICTRC) is responsible to produce skillful labor from all over the country as many as possible in cooperation with international organization.  ICT Research Center has been implemented the project “Initiative of Network Security Capacity Building for Advancing e-Government Services in Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam” supported by ASEAN Science, Technology and Innovation Fund (ASTIF).

CCNA Cyber Security Operations Instructor Training Course is conducted  to support the implementation of the Initiatives for ASEAN Integration Work Plan, which aims to assist the CLMV countries to meet ASEAN-wide targets and commitments towards realising the goals of the ASEAN Community.

CCNA Cyber Security Operations Instructor Training course has been conducted from 24th October to 2nd November, 2019 at ICT Research Centre. 26 Participants representing various ministries (3 from Laos, 2 from Cambodia 1 from Vietnam and 20 from Myanmar) have been trained by the trainer Professor Dr. Teck Chaw Ling, University of Malaya, Malaysia.

The project undertook cooperative training and exchange best practices by using better understanding of network security techniques and trainees can apply these acquired knowledge to develop e-Government Services in their respective countries.  And also the participants can also do country benevolent ICT research in order to develop social, economical, education and health sector of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.

The trainees from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam can contribute in e-government project by using their obtained new knowledge relating to network security techniques, they can also continuously learn from one another, undertake cooperative training, exchange best practices to implement the ASEAN Master Plan.  And they can do country benevolent ICT research in order to develop social, economical, education and health sector of their respective nation.

After finishing the CCNA Training, the trainees can contribute in e-government project by using their obtained new knowledge relating to network security techniques, they can also continuously learn from one another, undertake cooperative training, exchange best practices to implement the ASEAN Master Plan.  And they can do country benevolent ICT research in order to develop social, economical, education and health sector of their respective nation.  Skillful human capital who are working for the e-Government projects and research activities. Obtaining new knowledge and better understanding relating to network security techniques. An effective facility sharing mechanism which can promote the utilization of shared facilities among ASEAN countries.
